OUR PHILOSOPHY
At West End Elementary School, our goal is to prepare students for life in the 21st century by providing a safe environment conducive to meeting the academic, psychological, social, physical, emotional, and behavioral needs of each child's development according to their individual abilities and capacities. We believe this can best be done in an environment which is friendly and supportive and where adults provide consistent and positive ways for students to develop and value responsibility toward themselves, property and others.
We are committed to insure that each student receives excellent educational opportunities to meet his/her educational goals. Mastery learning of reading, mathematical, writing and science concepts is essential for future success in school and life. High levels of performance will be expected of each child. Regular attendance and exemplary behavior at school are also expected in order to provide an optimum learning and working environment.
