Churchill County High School

  QUICK LINKS

The Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) was established in May 2006 as a result of goals outlined in the CCHS School Improvement Plan,  NRS 392.457 requirements  and the parental involvement policy required by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 . It is primarily advisory in nature and exists to support academic improvement and a safe environment for all students.  It is not for fund-raising activities.

The PIC's primary goal is to improve school and parent communications;  to involve families and the community so that more students reach important educational goals. The PIC consists of interested parents of CCHS students, the Principal and district administrators.  The Principal may assign staff members attend PIC meetings as needed.

Interested community members and parents are welcome to attend and participate in the PIC meetings. If you plan to attend one of the PIC meetings, we encourage you to review our   PIC Meeting Schedule  and Meeting Rules.

Our desire is that each student has the best possible educational experience while attending CCHS.  School improvement and academic success is a continuous process that requires the collaborative efforts of administrators, staff, community members, parents and students.

Let's join together to make Churchill County High School the best that it can be!
