IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR GRADUATING SENIORS: We hope to make our graduation on Friday, June 4, 2010, at 7:30 p.m., a dignified and traditional event for the graduate, their family, friends, school officials, and community members. We understand that this is “your” day, but it is also a day for other graduates and a lot of caring people. As a committee, we feel that it is best for all to maintain the dignity of the day. Therefore, we ask all graduates to honor the following requests: 1. Dress appropriately (slacks, collared shirt, dress, skirt, etc.) Absolutely NO beach attire will be permitted (flip flops, swim suits, shorts, etc.) Please wear dress shoes or boots. We would like to avoid tennis shoes. 2. Only caps, gowns, and awards given by the school may be worn. No hats or ball caps. No decorating of the graduation caps or gowns will be permitted. No flower leis, candy bar leis, etc. We will provide a receiving line where graduates may receive these AFTER they have received their diploma cover. 3. We will be using Lahontan Elementary School as a pre-graduation staging area. Please bring your gown on a hanger and we will get dressed and prepared there for the ceremony. 4. No alcohol, smoking, or illegal substances at or near the High School during rehearsal, checkout, or the graduation ceremony itself. The Fallon Police Department will be notified. 5. All graduates are expected to maintain a respectable attitude throughout the ceremony. We will ask school officials to have you removed at anytime if needed throughout the ceremony. 6. No beach balls, air horns, or other objects that may create a safety issue. We do not want to distract from the dignity of the ceremony. 7. Cell phones and other electronic devices will be turned off and out of sight during the ceremony. **For this short, two-hour ceremony, we ask you to follow these simple requests. If you feel you cannot or do not want to cooperate, you may be removed from the ceremony before it starts. We are informing you of these requests early so you can attend a graduation committee meeting early to voice your opinions or concerns. This is for your benefit. If we do not hear from you, we will assume you agree to abide by these simple requests. Happy Graduation! The Senior Class Officers
